In the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology at UMN, we're enthusiastic about showcasing undergraduates research scholarship. The research focus lies on exploring the molecular and physiological intricacies of vital organs such as the heart, pancreas, muscles, adipose tissue, and their implications for health and disease, all of which are significant societal challenges.
Our yearly symposium, conducted each spring, serves as a platform for our scholars from UMN and smaller institutions across the metro to present their research findings to the public and engage with the community. Furthermore, it offers them a valuable opportunity to receive constructive feedback on their research endeavors and presentation skills from a diverse audience including faculty, research staff, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.
